Technician Profile: Greg McGrath

Greg has owned and operated MCM Jobe’s Repair since 1982.  Previously, he owned and operated a machine shop for five years.  He is both an ASE certified Master Auto Technician and Master Auto Machinist.  With over 30 years in the automotive repair industry, Greg has extensive experience in the automotive field and holds many ASE certifications.  These include Advanced Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Automatic Trans/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, and Brakes.  He is also a certified smog technician as well as a licensed brake and lamp inspector and adjuster.Greg is an active member of the Automotive Service Council and serves on the board of local Chapter 9 for Napa and Solano Counties.  He is a yearly participant in the Napa R.O.P. evaluation forum and actively supports and sponsors participants of the program.

Greg is the proud father of five and his support for Napa youth has centered on their interests.  From Vintage High School’s Vocal Music Workshop and Choir to more recently Napa High School’s Band and Orchestra, Greg has been a supporter of these programs.  He has also been active in youth sports, coaching and sponsoring both Tee Ball and Babe Ruth ball teams over the years.  Currently he coaches the U16 Boys Division 3 select soccer team “Napa Heat”.

 

Jason

Technician Profile: Jason McGrath

Bringing a third generation to the business, Jason is Greg’s son. He has been an employee of MCM Jobe’s for 14 years and enjoys working side by side with family members.

Jason’s experience as an auto mechanic technician includes 2 years of apprenticeship at Jobe’s and 2 years of electrical systems training through TecHelp. He is a licensed brake and lamp inspector and adjuster.  Jason is involved in continuous training courses through Car Quest, and has ASE certifications in Engine Repair, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, and Advanced Engine Performance.

Jason says working on classic cars is always fun, but that he also likes the challenge of cutting edge technology.  He is a music enthusiast and plays bass guitar in the band Five A.M..  As a new father, Jason values spending time with his son and wife.

 

Tony

Technician Profile: Tony Austin

Tony has been professionally working on vehicles for 30 years.  Before he joined MCM Jobe’s auto repair shop in 1996, he received factory car repair training at Olds Jeep GMC for 8 1/2 years.  He is a certified smog technician and has been performing smog inspections since 1981. He is involved in continuous training courses through Car Quest.

Tony is an ASE certified Master Auto Technician.  His ASE certifications include Engine Repair, Automotive Trans/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Advanced Engine Performance.

Tony is a lifelong resident of Fairfield, California. He is a single parent of 2 children and a highly active member of his church.  What Tony likes most about working on cars is the satisfaction he gets from helping people.

 

Jamie

Technician Profile: Jaime Perkins

Jamie has been the service writer at MCM Jobe’s for the last 12 years.  He graduated from Vintage High School where he was active in the R.O.P. Auto Shop Program.

With 2 years of training through TecHelp and multiple service writer classes through AMI, Jamie is a knowledgeable asset to the shop.  Not only is he committed to continuing education, but is also clean-cut and polite. He is always helpful to our customers and keeps our workflow going smoothly.

Jamie has a love for race cars and especially enjoys Bracket Drag Racing.  He may be spotted on weekends at Infineon Raceway or at the track in Sacramento racing his Ford Mustang.
